Moving

So moving is probably the one thing that I dislike the most. Currently I LOVE my little house. It is really a great place and it is right next to my college campus. Even though I love it, I was offered the opportunity to live in my sorority house and I really couldn't pass that up. I am really excited to be moving in, but it is taking up a lot of my time. Hopefully it will go by fast and I will be moved in, in no time! Wish me luck.

Silver Floral

Finally! Fall showed its face today here in Reno. I was so happy when I stepped out of the house and the crisp air greeted me. It was just perfect. I LOVE fall. I can't even describe in works how happy the presence of the fall season makes me. It is all just perfect.
After finding these gems of pants in Roseville this past weekend, I am HOOKED. These are honestly the most comfortable and flattering pants that I have ever worn. I have a really hard time wearing flat front, short pants because I am so short, but these are PERFECT. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great fall staple.

At first, the combination of these two prints seemed a little strange, but when I put on this top, it really accentuated the pants and made them POP!

Falling into camo

With fall approaching shortly (yay!), I find it hard to bring some of my summer pieces into my fall wardrobe. An easy way for me to do that is to start with some thing simple like a plain white V-neck. No it is not 'technically' a summer item but where I live, you can't really go out without a sweater unless it's in the summer! So take advantage of the chilly weather and start to layer!

Forever 21 Jacket (old, similar here), Victoria's Secret shirt, Abercrombie jeggings (old), Target boots.

Shopping Sunday

So my mom and I decided that we were going to head down to Roseville, California to have a little shopping day! Unfortunatly, the shopping in my home town isn't very good, so every once in a while, we will take a little day trip over the pass to go shopping! It is a nice way to spend our lazy days...I mean, who doesn't like shopping?! ;)
I found some really good stuff, which will hopefully be posted soon, so stay tuned for whats to come!

Ray Ban sunnies, Rachel Roy dress (old), bow sandals (old. similar here), Michael Kors bag.

Fall Cravings

With the middle of September approaching much too fast, my mind is already set on fall attire. For me, fall is not yet here and hasn't shown any signs of being here soon, but the wait is just killing me. I love fall and I can't wait to cozy up in a sweater and a pair of jeans. I think that my very favorite part of fall is that the weather starts to get really crisp and the smell of the air changes. I LOVE being able to smell fall.
Since it is still in the 90 degree weather in Reno, I am sticking to my summer clothes but I am trying to built my closet back up in anticipation for the chilly weather. Here are some of my cravings this fall.

My life has been surprisingly busy lately, but I am trying to do the best that I can with posting. Thank you for reading.

Finally 20

Ok ok...so this post is extremely long over due, but there is some good news! I am finally 20. Although it isn't the most exciting of birthday's, I feel as though I have come a long way! Twenty years of my life have passed and I have made it! I am surviving and I would say that I am on a pretty good roll.
For my birthday, I decided to take a little mini vacay with my mom down to San Francisco (my favorite city EVER). Not only did we enjoy ourselves in the city, but I was able to look at some potential art schools! It was such a good birthday.

The weekend was absolutely perfect and the weather was Unbeatable! One of the best things that we got to experience while we were down there, was the America's Cup, which was going on the weekend that we were visiting. I could not have asked for a better birthday.

Crock Pot Meal

Ok! So, I have really been so busy that its killing me. My current fashion trend consists of workout clothes...nothing else as of right now. Workout clothes are really coming in handy because they are comfortable and practical.
So the point of this post is that I made the most delicious meal! I have found that it is really easy to make a quick, simple and healthy meal!
You're only going to need a few things, which makes it even more appealing in my eyes.

For this recipe, you will need a crock pot, and a trip to Trader Joe's or your nearest grocery store.
So here it goes, please make these and let me know how they taste!

Healthy Salsa Tacos

2 turkey or chicken breast tenderloins
1 can of black beans
1 can of pinto beans
One jar of Trader Joe's garlic chipotle salsa *any salsa will be fine
1-1/2 cups Trader Joes organic free range chicken broth *any low sodium chicken broth
Whole wheat tortillas or pita bread

Put the turkey or chicken at the bottom of the crock pot while it is still off. Open the cans of beans and drain them, then pour all of the beans into the crock pot on top of the meat. Pour the entire jar of salsa into the crock pot along with the 1-1/2 cups of chicken broth. Stir together everything so that the meat is covered. Turn the crock pot onto high and leave it alone for about 9 hours (you can also switch it to low after leaving it on high for 6 hours). When the time for cooking is up, begin to shred the meat inside of the crock pot (I used a fork to make it shredded thinly). When the meat is shredded and ready, you can either eat it on a whole wheat tortilla or a whole wheat pita.

*for the whole wheat tortilla, I used Sara Lee brand

This is a recipe that is extremely simple and doesn't take much time. I just threw all of the ingredients into the crock pot after my workout, and I left it in there all day without even checking on it.

This is not my recipe. It was given to me by my trainers at The Lean Lemon in Reno, Nevada. I asked for a good recipe to use up my extra turkey breast and this is what they gave me and now, I am OBSESSED!
Check out their website and like their FB and Instagram page!

I hope that you enjoy this as much as I did. Leave a comment saying if you enjoyed it or not.
